P3 – Pedal Powder Paddle. Three friends from Canmore Alberta set out to paddle board the headwaters of one of Canada’s longest rivers, the north Saskatchewan. To get there they will have to bike, hike, ski and snowboard their way across two glaciers and one 11,000’ mountain ….all in one epic day. Width is the first consideration I would make when purchasing a new SUP. The width of the board is the predominant factor in how stable a board will be. Not if it’s an inflatable board, not if it’s a rigid board, not if it’s a surfboard, etc. The width is the main factor.
