Our summer speaker series is an intimate night with a legend or pioneer of our SUP and Surf community. The series will take place over the course of this summer at our shop in Canmore. This is a community free event to showcase these water legends and inspire new ideas. Jacob Quinlan (river surf pioneer and legend), Dan Miller (team Canada SUP racer) and Paul (American River SUP legend) will all be speaking throughout the summer.

Without a doubt, Paul is truly a river SUP legend and loves to spread his stoke. We guarantee that after listening to him talk about his passion, the first thing you will want to do is go paddle a river!!
As an instructor for the Outward Bound school, ski patroller and avalanche rescue dog handler Paul has spent his adult life working in the outdoor industry from mountain tops to rivers and beyond.
Such epic adventures have included 83 nights in a snow cave in the Sierras, two separate 1000-mile kayak expeditions down the Sea of Cortez, and a thru-hike of the Pacific Crest Trail.
Today Paul is now in his tenth year of paddle boarding. Self-contained solo trips are his passion. He has taken his SUP touring to Alaska, Baja, and Panama in addition to countless lakes. All that said, rivers are his happy place. He has paddled more than 140 rivers on a boardthroughout the US, Costa Rica, Chile, New Zealand, Europe and Western Canada!
